If you've opened Musio and the catalog appears blank, don’t worry—this can usually be fixed with a few simple steps. Follow the instructions below to resolve the issue:
1. Log Out and Back Into Musio Connect
- Open Musio Connect (Musio’s companion app).
- In the top-right corner, you’ll see your email address and a (Log Out) button. Click it.
- Log back in by manually typing your email address and password (avoid auto-filling or copy-pasting).
2. Update the Catalog
- Open Musio Connect.
- At the top-left, select Catalog, then choose Update Catalog.
3. Reset the Assets Folder (macOS)
If the catalog is still blank, try the following:
- Close your DAW, Musio, and Musio Connect (make sure none of these apps are running).

Navigate to:
/Users/your_username/Library/Application Support/Musio Connect/Assets- If you can’t see the Library folder, press Shift + Command + . (period) to reveal hidden folders.
- Delete the Assets folder.
- Relaunch Musio Connect.
4. Reinstall Musio
If the steps above didn’t work, a fresh reinstall might help.
For Windows:
- Open the Start Menu and search for Add or Remove Programs.

Under Apps and Features, locate Musio, then select Uninstall.
- When prompted, choose No if asked whether you want to remove your downloaded instruments (this keeps your instruments).
For macOS:

Use the Musio Uninstaller Tool to remove the app.
- When prompted, select No if asked whether you want to remove your downloaded instruments.
- If the uninstaller doesn’t work on your version of macOS, click here for manual uninstallation instructions.
Reinstall Musio:
- Log in to portal.musio.com.
- In the top-right corner, click one of the installer buttons to download and reinstall Musio.
- Open Musio and check if the catalog is now loading correctly.
