If your instruments are getting stuck on “Verifying Files”, we’re here to help. This issue was resolved in a Musio update, so most users shouldn’t encounter it, but if you’re still seeing it, follow these steps:
Step 1: Make Sure Musio is Up to Date
First, check that you’re running the latest version of Musio.
- Open Musio Connect
- Find the red update link in the bottom left hand corner.
- Click the link to launch the installer and follow the steps to update Musio.
Once updated, relaunch Musio and see if the problem is resolved.
Step 2: Manually Repair the Instruments
If you're still seeing the issue after updating, try repairing the instruments manually:
- Open Musio Connect
- Click Instruments in the top-left menu
- Choose Verify Instruments
- Then select Repair All Instruments
This will force a recheck of the files and could repair anything that’s causing issues.
Step 3: If It Still Doesn’t Work
If the issue remains, our team will take a closer look. Please email our Support team at support@musio.com with the following file so we can help:
Mac:
~/Library/Application Support/Musio Connect/{USER-ID}/Inventory/Inventory.db
Windows:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Musio Connect\{USER-ID}\Inventory
Once we receive that, our team may be able to send you a new inventory file to replace the old one and get everything working again. Thank you!
