Musio should appear and open like any other plug-in in VEP, so If Musio is no longer appearing as a plugin in VEP, here are some steps you can take to get things working again:
Step 1: Restart Your Computer
We know it’s a cliché but a full restart can sometimes reset plugin scan errors, especially after a Musio or VEP update. Go ahead and restart your machine as a first step.
Step 2: Check Your VEP Version
- Are you running the latest version of Vienna Ensemble Pro?
- VST3 support was added in a more recent update, so if you're not yet on the latest version, Musio might not show up.
- You can update VEP through your VSL account or installation manager.
Step 3: Rescan Plugins in VEP
If Musio still isn't showing up:
- Open VEP Preferences
- Go to the Plugins tab
- Click Scan for Changes
Step 4: Contact Support
If none of the above works, we’d love to take a deeper look.
- Open the Musio app
- Click the three-line menu (top-right corner)
- Select Submit Feedback
- Check the box for Include Log Files
-
In the message field, let us know:
- The issue you’re having and what happened when you tried the troubleshooting steps above
- What version of VEP you're using
- Whether you're using VEP with a DAW or standalone
- Any recent updates or changes to your system
What To Do If VEP Crashes
- If you are on a Mac, please email us at support@musio.com with your VEPro template. Our Development team will open it to investigate what is happening there.
- If you are on Windows, please email us at support@musio.com with the crash dump files. You can find those here: C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\VSL\Vienna Ensemble Pro\crashdumps\app.
