There may be times when you need to uninstall Musio, such as when troubleshooting an issue. To ensure that the files are removed correctly, please follow the exact steps outlined below:
Uninstalling Musio on Windows
- Open Add or Remove Programs from the Start menu.
- Under Apps & Features, search for Musio.

Click Uninstall and follow the prompts to complete the process.

Note: If you previously changed the Samples Location in Musio Connect (e.g., to an external hard drive), a folder containing your downloaded instruments may remain on that drive after uninstalling Musio.
- If you want to completely remove all Musio files, you can manually delete this folder. However, this will permanently erase all downloaded instruments, so only do this if you intend to fully wipe Musio from your system.

Uninstalling Musio on macOS
- Download the macOS Musio uninstaller application.

Double-click or right-click the file and select Open.

When the uninstaller opens, follow these steps:
- Save and close all DAW sessions before proceeding.
- Enter your Mac password when prompted to allow the uninstaller to remove files.

You will see a message asking: "Would you like to uninstall downloaded instruments as well?"
- Select "No" if you only want to remove the Musio plugin but keep your downloaded instruments.
- Select "Yes" if you want to completely remove everything, including all previously downloaded instruments. (This is only recommended if you're experiencing technical issues and need a full reset.)
Reinstalling Musio
If you need to reinstall Musio after uninstalling, follow these steps:
- Log in to your account at portal.musio.com.
- Click one of the installer buttons in the top-right corner to download and install Musio.
