This error message may be related to a recent Windows update. Here’s how to resolve it:
Step 1: Verify and Repair the Affected Instrument
- Open Musio Connect (Musio’s companion app).
- Click on Instruments.
- In the Status column, locate the instruments showing this error.
- Highlight the instrument, then click Verify Files and then Repair in the bottom-right corner.
Step 2: Repair All Affected Instruments
If Step 1 fixed the issue for this first instrument, you can quickly fix any remaining ones:
- In Musio Connect, click the Instruments dropdown menu at the top left.
- Select Verify Instruments, then click Repair All Instruments.
Step 3: Check the Samples Location
The steps above should fix this issue, but If the error persists:
- Open Musio Connect and go to the Instruments tab.
-
At the top, check the Samples Location path.
- Has this folder been moved or renamed recently?
- Ensure the folder has sufficient storage space (we recommend 200–500 GB, depending on how many instruments you’ve downloaded or plan to download) and full read/write permissions (how to check disk permissions).
