If you’re working in Logic Pro and see this message:
“An Audio Unit plug-in reported a problem that might cause the system to become unstable. Please quit and restart Logic Pro.”
This usually indicates that Logic detected a crash or instability with a plug-in (such as Musio) and is prompting you to restart the DAW. Follow the steps below to help us troubleshoot the issue:
1. Send Crash Logs
Crash logs provide important information that helps us identify what caused the issue.
To find and send your Logic crash logs:
Press ⌘ (Command) + Spacebar, then type Console, or open it from Finder → Applications/Utilities/Console.app.
Select Crash Reports.
Locate crash reports for Logic Pro or AUHostingServiceXPC_arrow in the list.
Right-click the log’s file name and select Reveal in Finder.
Attach the revealed log files to your email to us.
2. Send Your DAW Session
If possible, please share the Logic session where the issue occurred. This helps our Development team try to replicate and analyze the behavior directly.
To prepare your session:
Disable any third-party plug-ins in the project.
Zip the entire DAW session folder.
Attach the zipped project to your email or upload it to Dropbox or Google Drive.
If sent by link, ensure that the link permissions are set so anyone with the link can view/download.
Once received, we’ll open your session on our end and investigate further.
3. Send Everything to Support
When you have your crash logs and DAW session ready, please email us at support@musio.com. Please include:
The crash log files (from Step 1)
Your zipped DAW session (or a share link)
A brief description of what was happening in Logic when the error appeared (for example: loading Musio, bouncing, reopening the session, etc.)
Our Support and Development teams will review the information and get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you!
