Please follow these steps to resolve a "Missing Samples" error message:
1. Update Musio
Open Musio Connect (Musio’s companion app).
If you see a red update link in the bottom-left corner, click it.
Follow the prompts in the installer to install the latest version of Musio.
2. Verify and Repair All Instruments
In Musio Connect, open the Instruments dropdown in the top-left corner.
Select Verify Instruments.
Once the verification finishes, click Repair All Instruments.
Tip:
If you’ve previously downloaded multiple versions of the same instrument, be sure to run Verify Instruments and Repair All (as opposed to just verifying and repairing one instrument) so that every version is properly checked.
3. Send Your Musio Database File (.db)
If you’re still seeing the error, please send us a copy of your Musio database file:
Windows:
C:\ProgramData\Musio Connect\Musio.dbMac:
/Users/Shared/Musio Connect/Musio.db
Attach this file to your support ticket or email when contacting our team.
4. Send Musio Log Files
Open Musio.
Click the three-line menu in the top-right corner.
Select Submit Feedback.
Make sure the Include Log Files box is checked.
This will send diagnostic logs to our team to help identify what’s causing the missing samples.
