Step 1: Check Your License Status
- Log in to your Musio account at portal.musio.com.

In the middle column, check if you see one of the following listed as “Active”:
- Free Trial
- Subscription
- Musio 1

What to Do Next:
- If you see an active license, proceed to Step 2.
- If you don’t see any active license, this may be a membership issue. Please contact our Support team at support@musio.com, and we’ll help get your license or subscription activated.
Step 2: Refresh Your Membership in Musio
- Open Musio.
- Check the left-hand side for a message that says, “Looks like you need to update your membership.”
- If you see this message, click the Refresh button below it.

Close Musio Connect and manually reopen it.

Step 3: Verify Your Login Credentials
Sometimes this error occurs if you’re logged into the wrong email address or if there’s a typo in your login information. Let’s check:
- Close any DAW sessions or instances of Musio that might be open.
- Launch Musio Connect on its own.
- In the top-right corner, find your email address with “(Log Out)” next to it.

Click Log Out and log back in with the correct email address:
- Be sure to manually type in your credentials instead of using copy/paste or autofill.
- Once logged in, open the Musio Standalone app.
- If Musio Standalone works, the issue has been resolved, and communication between Musio and Musio Connect is restored.
Optional: Restart your computer for good measure to ensure everything is working smoothly.
