This error message typically appears when samples are being moved while Musio remains active or is performing other tasks. To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
Step 1: Close Musio Completely
- Close all instances of Musio.
- Open Musio Connect (Musio’s companion app) and click on the Instances page.
- Ensure this page is blank, indicating that Musio is fully closed.
- If any instances are listed, close them before proceeding.
Step 2: Check for Active Processes
- Click the back arrow to return to the Musio Connect home page.
- Navigate to the Instruments page.
- Check for any active installations, uninstallations, or verifications at the top of the page.
- If there are active processes, either wait for them to finish or manually end them.
- Once all processes are complete, only your list of installed instruments should be visible.
Step 3: Move Your Samples
- Now that all activities have stopped and Musio is fully closed, you should be able to now move your samples. To do this, on this same Instruments page, find the Samples Location at the top.
- Click the red Move… button and select the new location for your samples.
