This error message typically indicates there’s a permissions issue where Musio doesn’t have the right level of access to copy instrument data to the folder it needs. Here’s how to fix it:
Step 1: Check Which User Account Installed Musio
This issue may happen if Musio was installed on one user account (like an Admin account), but then accessed from a different user account.
Step 2: Reinstall Musio on the Same User Account You're Using
To resolve this, follow these steps:
-
Uninstall Musio and Musio Connect completely from your current user account.
- Follow these instructions exactly to uninstall Musio correctly.
- Reinstall Musio from the same user account that you’ll be using day-to-day. This ensures that the install paths and permissions are aligned with the account Musio will actually be run from.
- Launch Musio and try downloading the instrument again.
This should allow Musio to write the necessary IDF file into the inventory folder without error.
