If you see the "No Space Left On Device" error while trying to download instruments in Musio, this means there isn't enough free space in the Samples Location (the folder where Musio stores its instrument files).
To resolve this, follow the steps below:
1. Free Up Space in Your Current Samples Location
If you want to keep the same storage location (the drive you have pointed Musio Connect to store your Musio samples), try deleting unused files to make room for new Musio instruments.
2. Move the Samples Location to a Drive with More Space
If you can’t free up space there or prefer using another storage location, you can move the Samples Location to a different drive with enough free space. We recommend having 200-500 GB of free space, depending on how many instruments you’ve already downloaded and how many you plan to install.
How to Change the Samples Location:
- Open Musio Connect (Musio’s companion app).
- Click the Instruments tab.
- At the top middle, find Samples Location and click "Move...".
- Select a new location (such as an external hard drive) that has enough free space.
- Ensure the new location has read and write permissions.
Once you’ve moved the Samples Location, try downloading your instrument again.
