Upgrading from Monthly to Annual Subscription
Q: I have a monthly subscription and want to upgrade to an annual subscription. How do I do this?
You can upgrade from a monthly to an annual subscription at any time. There's no need to cancel your current monthly subscription first. When you switch to the annual plan, you’ll see a preview of the prorated cost based on your current monthly usage. Once you confirm the upgrade, you’ll be charged this adjusted amount, and your new annual subscription will take effect immediately.
Upgrading from an Annual Subscription to a Musio 1 Perpetual License
Q: I already purchased an annual subscription but now want to upgrade to the Musio 1 perpetual license. Is that possible?
Unfortunately, we don’t currently have a way to convert an annual subscription into a Musio 1 perpetual license, as they are separate products.
However, our refund policy allows refunds within 14 days of purchase. If you bought your annual subscription within the last 14 days, you can contact our Support Team at support@musio.com to request a refund, allowing you to purchase the Musio 1 license instead.
If your purchase was made more than 14 days ago, we don’t have any upgrade options available at this time. However, you’re welcome to purchase Musio 1 at any time, and your access will remain available once your current subscription expires.
Purchasing Additional Annual Subscriptions During a Sale
Q: I have an active annual subscription, but I see a sale on the annual plan. Can I buy another year at the discounted rate?
No, the system does not allow you to purchase another annual subscription while you have an active one. Your current subscription renews automatically each year, so there’s no way to stack additional years in advance.
Using a Subscription Alongside a BRAND_SWAP License
Q: I have an active BRAND_SWAP (or PROMO) license. If I purchase a subscription, will it begin after my BRAND_SWAP license ends?
No, if you activate a subscription while your BRAND_SWAP license is still active, both will run at the same time instead of one following the other. We recommend waiting until your BRAND_SWAP license expires before purchasing a new subscription.
Educational License Start Date
Q: If I buy a license with an educational discount, will it start after my free trial ends or will it begin immediately?
The system should automatically set your educational license to start after your trial ends. However, if you want to be extra sure, we recommend waiting until your trial expires before redeeming your educational license.
Purchasing Additional Monthly Subscriptions During a Sale
Q: I have a current monthly subscription. Can I buy additional months at the sale price?
No, because your monthly subscription renews automatically each month, the system does not allow you to purchase extra months in advance. This prevents accidental duplicate subscriptions.
Starting An Annual Subscription While On A Free Trial
Q: I have a free trial. If I purchase the annual subscription, will the annual subscription start today or will the free trial be available for the remainder of the free trial before the annual subscription begins?
The annual subscription will begin immediately. You will be prompted when you click ‘Subscribe’ to end your free trial in order to begin the annual subscription and asked ‘Are you sure?’. That way, the trial ends and your annual subscription begins.
Had An Annual Subscription And Accidentally Bought A Monthly Subscription
Q: I had an annual subscription and I accidentally bought a monthly subscription. How do I go back to an annual subscription?
You should be able to just upgrade back to an annual subscription again as you should have credit in your account that will prorate the amount. If you see a new charge amount that is more than $1, you can still try to get an annual subscription again. If it’s a larger amount, our Support team may be able to refund some of the difference.
