Have questions about Musio? Below are answers to some common inquiries:
Do you currently offer any free libraries?
Musio contains all of our virtual instruments in one plugin. Since they are not separated out as individual libraries, we don’t have any free libraries available at this time. However, you can absolutely get free access to Musio to try it out with a 7-day free trial. Just go to musio.com and click “Try It Free” in the top right corner.
Do you offer demo versions of your libraries?
While we don’t offer demo versions of individual libraries, you can try all of Musio’s libraries for free with a 7-day free trial! Simply visit musio.com/pricing and click "Try It Free" to start your trial. This will give you full access to everything Musio has to offer so you can decide if it’s right for you.
Can you provide a full Musio template for my DAW?
While we don’t currently offer official DAW templates, we appreciate the suggestion and will consider this for the future! If you're using Logic Pro, composer Robert Rodriguez has created a Musio template that you may find helpful: Robert Rodriguez’s Musio Template.
Does Musio support MPE for breath control?
Currently, Musio does not support MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression). However, we recognize the importance of this feature for breath controller users, and it’s on our list of potential future enhancements. We’ll keep our users updated on any developments.
Does Musio include multiple microphone positions?
Yes, Musio does include multiple microphone positions! Please see this Help Center article about the microphone positions in Musio for more information.
Is Musio accessible for visually impaired or blind users?
Accessibility is important to us, and we are actively working on tools to make Musio more accessible for users with visual impairments. While we don’t have a release date yet, we’ll share updates as soon as we have them.
If I buy Musio 1, will I receive new app features when they become available?
Yes! When you purchase Musio 1, you gain access to all existing libraries in the Musio catalog through the end of 2024. No new instrument libraries will be added after that, but new application features will be automatically included for all users, including those on Musio 1.
I see a new library was released in Musio, but I don’t see it in my catalog. What should I do?
To update your Musio catalog:
- Open Musio Connect.
- Go to Tools > Catalog > Update Catalog.
- The new library should then appear in your catalog.
Please also try updating Musio itself by following these steps:
- Open Musio Connect.
- Click the red update link in the bottom left hand corner to launch the update installer.
- Go through the update installer steps to fully update.
How can I stay updated on Musio updates and releases?
You can check for updates in two ways:
- Musio Connect – A red update link will appear in the bottom left corner when an update is available.
- Musio Instruments – A red dot will appear next to instrument patches if there’s an update available.
Additionally, you can view release notes by opening Musio Connect, clicking Help in the top left, and selecting Release Notes where you can see all that was updated. We are also starting to send email notifications for updates.
Do you have a mailing list for sales and updates?
Yes! To subscribe, visit musio.com and scroll to the bottom of the homepage. You’ll see an option to “Keep up-to-date with all things Musio.” Enter your email to sign up!
How can I unsubscribe from the mailing list?
You can unsubscribe by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any Musio email. If that doesn’t work, please reach out to our Support team at support@musio.com, and we’ll take care of it for you.
Can I use Musio’s samples in professional or commercial productions, including during the trial period?
Yes!
Thanks for reaching out! According to our Terms and Conditions of Use, you're free to use Musio for professional/commercial productions. However, keep in mind these two points from the Terms and Conditions:
1 - Service Content comprised of single sample sounds or hits may not be used solely by itself.
2 - Service Content comprised of pre-recorded phrases and/or loops shall only be used in connection with Work(s) containing additional original content, and shall not be used alone or represented as content original to You or your Authorized Users.
It's essentially saying that you can't take a loop or phrase or a single sample hit from Musio completely isolated by itself and sell it as if you created it. The sounds need to be combined with at least one other musical element. For example, the Tina Guo Acoustic Cello Legato library can't be used in isolation to create loops for sale, but it's perfectly fine to use it in a composition, scoring, songwriting, or producing context. Musio can definitely be used for professional projects.
What is the standard/original/default sample rate for Musio?
48khz and 24bits is the standard for all of our samples.
