Having trouble logging into your Musio account? Below are common login and password issues along with simple steps to resolve them:
I’m trying to create a Musio account, but I’m getting an error saying I need more variation in my password.
When creating a password for your Musio account, follow these guidelines:
- ✅ At least 8 characters long
- ✅ Include uppercase and lowercase letters
- ✅ At least one number
- 🚫 Avoid repeated or sequential characters (e.g., 12345, !@#$%)
- 🚫 Do not use common words like “password,” “guest,” “test,” or “temporary.”
If you’re still getting an error, contact our Support team at support@musio.com.
I can't log in to my Musio account. I’m getting an “Unauthorized” error message when I try to log in.
This error means the email and/or password entered doesn’t match our records. Here’s how to fix it:
1. Double-check for typos in your email and password
- Common mistakes include misspelling your email domain (e.g., @gail.com instead of @gmail.com).
- Close your digital audio workstation (DAW) and try logging into Musio in standalone mode (outside of your DAW).
- Manually type your email and password instead of using copy/paste or autofill.
2. Contact Support if the issue persists
If you’re still seeing the error, take a screenshot of the error message and email it to support@musio.com.
- If the credentials are correct but you still can’t log in, we’ll send you a password reset link to help you regain access.
I requested a password reset but never received the email. What should I do?
1. Check your spam or junk folders
- Sometimes password reset emails get filtered into spam. Be sure to check those folders in your email account.
2. Contact Support if you still don’t receive it
- If the reset email isn’t in your spam folder, reach out to support@musio.com. We’ll send you a new reset link so you can regain access to your account as quickly as possible.
I can't log in and I'm seeing "Failed To Log In".
If you're on the beta team, make sure that you are not trying to log in to portal.musio.com as that is where the public logs in. Instead, make sure you are logging into portal.beta.musio.com. That should hopefully get you past this error message but if not, reach out to support@musio.com and we'll be happy to help.
How do I change my email address?
- Log in to portal.musio.com.
- Click the Account tab at the top left.
- Click the Profile tab.
- Find your email address and click Change Email.
Can I transfer a Musio license to a different email?
Musio licenses are tied to your account’s email address, so they cannot be transferred to a new account. However, you can update the email address associated with your existing account:
- Log in to portal.musio.com.
- Click the pencil icon next to your email address.
- Enter your new email address.
- A verification email will be sent to both your old and new email addresses.
