How To Load Musio As An Instrument Plug-in In Cubase
Please follow the instructions in the following screenshots to load Musio as a plug-in in Cubase:
What to Do If Musio Doesn’t Appear as a Plugin in Cubase
Cubase should automatically scan for new plugins when launched. If Musio does not appear in the VST Instruments list, first, restart your computer, and if that doesn’t help, follow these troubleshooting steps:
Step 1: Check the VST Plug-in Manager
- Open Cubase.
- Click the Studio menu at the top of your screen.
- Select VST Plug-in Manager.
- Click on the VST Instruments tab.
-
Look for Musio in the list.
- If Musio is listed, you should now be able to load it in an instrument track.
- If Musio is not listed, continue to the next step.
Step 2: Verify Musio Is Installed in the Correct VST Plug-in Folder
Cubase scans plugins from default installation paths. Make sure Musio is located in the following directories:
- Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
- macOS: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
If you installed Musio to a custom folder, you must manually add that path in Cubase’s VST Plug-in Manager.
Step 3: Add a Custom Plug-in Folder in Cubase
- Open Cubase and go to the Studio menu.
- Click VST Plug-in Manager.
- Click the cog/gear icon in the bottom left corner.
- Click the + icon to add a new folder.
- Navigate to the folder where Musio is installed and select it.
- Click Select Folder/Open.
- Click the Refresh icon (located next to the Search bar at the top of this window) to rescan plugins.
After the scan, Musio should now appear in the VST Instruments list.
