This article will guide you through loading Musio as an instrument plugin in Logic Pro. It also covers troubleshooting steps if Musio doesn’t appear as an available plugin automatically.
How To Load Musio As An Instrument Plug-in In Logic Pro
Please follow the instructions in the following screenshots to load Musio as a plug-in in Logic Pro:
What to Do If Musio Doesn’t Appear as a Plugin in Logic Pro
Normally, after installing Musio, Logic Pro automatically detects new plugins upon reopening. You should find Musio listed under AU Instruments > MUSIO > Musio > Stereo. If Musio does not appear, try the following troubleshooting steps:
Step 1: Restart Your Computer
- Before troubleshooting further, restart your Mac and check if Musio appears in the plugin list.
Step 2: Manually Rescan Plugins in Logic Pro
- Open Logic Pro and go to Settings (or Preferences) > Plug-In Manager.
- Locate Musio in the list. If it doesn’t appear, continue to the next step.
- Click Full Audio Unit Reset at the bottom of the Plug-In Manager.
- Close Logic Pro, then reopen it. Logic will now rescan all installed Audio Units (AU) plugins.
- Check if Musio appears in the plugin list.
Error Message: "Plugin Musio not available on your system"
If you get this error message in Logic, this means that the Musio component file was moved from its default location (/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Musio.component) to somewhere else. To fix this, please move the Musio.component file back to this location and that should fix this issue.
