Musio works with most digital audio workstations (DAWs) that support AAX, AU, and VST3 plugin formats. However, due to the vast number of DAW and system configurations, we don't have an official, comprehensive list of all compatible setups. While we actively test and support Musio on several major DAWs, and our Support and Development teams are responsive to any issues that might come up, we encourage users to test compatibility with their specific setup:
How to Check Compatibility
If you're unsure whether Musio will work with your DAW, we highly recommend downloading the free 7-day trial from musio.com/pricing (click “Try It Free”). This allows you to test Musio with your DAW and operating system.
Supported DAWs
Musio should work with the following DAWs (although very old DAW versions may not be supported):
- Logic Pro
- Cubase
- Pro Tools
- FL Studio
- Ableton Live
- Studio One
- Reaper
- Digital Performer
- GarageBand (Only on M1+ Macs; not supported on Intel-based Macs)
Not Officially Supported (But May Still Work)
The following DAWs are not officially supported, but many users have reported success using Musio with some of these. If you use one of these DAWs, we recommend testing with the free 7-day trial to check for compatibility on your system:
- Cakewalk
- Reason
- Adobe Audition
- Bitwig Studio
- Tracktion Waveform
- Audacity
- BandLab
- Nuendo
- Mixcraft
- Luna
- Soundbridge
- Acid Pro (VST3 support seems limited)
