If you see “Install Failed” when downloading an instrument in Musio, try the steps below in order.
Step 1: Check for an error message on the instrument
Look at the instrument that failed to install.
Do you see a red exclamation point (!) icon on the instrument?

If yes, hover your mouse over the icon.
If an error message appears, please note exactly what it says. Then, copy and paste that error message into the search bar of this Help Center which should bring up an article that can provide the answer on how to fix the issue.
If there is no article for that specific error message here in the Help Center, or it doesn't fully solve the issue you are experiencing, please reach out to our Support team at support@musio.com. Let us know what the error message says exactly. A screenshot is very helpful also.
If no message appears, continue to Step 2.
Step 2: Check the Status column in Musio Connect
Open Musio Connect (the Musio companion app).
Go to the Instruments page.
Locate the instrument that failed to download.

Check the Status column.
If an error message appears, note exactly what it says. Search for that error message in the Help Center for a solution or reach out to us at support@musio.com.
If no error is shown, continue to Step 3.
Step 3: Update Musio Connect
Open Musio Connect.
Look in the bottom left corner of the window.
If you see a red update link, click it to install the latest version.
Restart your computer after updating.
Try installing the instrument again.

Your Musio log files. To send logs:
Open Musio.
Click the three-line menu in the top right corner.
Select Submit Feedback.
Check the Include Log Files box and submit.
