If you're clicking a payment link and getting redirected to our pricing page instead of seeing a payment screen, or if you're only seeing a “Check EDU Status” button without the option to pay, here's what’s likely going on and how to fix it:
What’s Causing This?
There are two common reasons this happens:
1. The Payment Link Didn’t Load Properly
Our payment system uses specific URLs that look something like this:
https://musio.com/pricing?_ptn=txn_...
This link contains important data that tells our system to open the secure payment window (powered by our payment processor, Paddle). If the page doesn’t fully load or if the extra part of the link gets stripped out, you’ll just be sent to our general pricing page without the payment popup.
2. A Translation or Redirect Plugin Is Interfering
If you’re using a translation service (like Google Translate) or a browser plugin that modifies URLs, it may prevent the payment system from launching properly. The Paddle checkout requires you're on our main domain: https://musio.com/.
If the URL you're using includes something like translate.google.com/... or anything besides our actual domain, that’s likely the issue.
How to Fix It
Here are a few steps to try:
- Make sure you're clicking the full payment link and that it includes ?_ptn=txn_... at the end.
- Wait a few seconds on the page. If all is working, a secure payment window should pop up automatically.
- Open the link in a private/incognito browser window to rule out plugins or extensions causing interference.
- Avoid using translation tools or browsers with custom URL plugins as they can interfere with the checkout process.
- If you're still stuck, send us the full link you’re using, especially if you're seeing redirects or unexpected content. We’ll take a look!
